EAD Elements
Encoded Archival Description has been used by the LEADERS Project to describe archival documents within their archival context. LEADERS has adapted EAD and constructed a LEADERS EAD Schema primarily to accommodate the additional TEI and MIX tag usage within the EAD <altformavail> element. The usage and adaptation of EAD is discussed in the accompanying Encoding principles document.
Navigating around the Tag Library
There are three ways in which to use the tag library.
- Simply browse through the library
- Choose an element by using the index
- Choose a group of elements, and then select an individual element from that group
